Information and introduction

The aim of partnership building activity: “Ten Steps from idea to application!” is to develop partnerships for international projects in the framework of Youth in Action programme.

Objectives: 
  • Contact making and developing partnerships for new Youth in Action projects 
  • Raising participants’ knowledge of Youth in Action programme with the focus on youth exchanges and quality of youth exchanges 
  • Develop new Youth in Action projects from idea to application 
  • Creating opportunity to build the project from beginning to the end together with partners
  • Develop participants’ competences about priorities and quality criteria of Youth in Action programme, including the use of Youthpass as tool, process and certificate 
  • Promote Youth in Action opportunities for young people from small towns and rural areas in participating countries

Countries & participants: 

Estonia: 13 participants - groups of youth leader/worker + 1-2 young people aged 15-18
Romania: 3 participants - one youth leader/worker + 2 young people aged 15-18
France: 2 participants - one youth leader/worker + 1 young person aged 15-18
Lithuania: 2 participants - one youth leader/worker + 1 young person aged 15-18
Latvia: 2 participants - one youth leader/worker + 1 young person aged 15-18
Greece: 2 participants - one youth leader/worker + 1 young person aged 15-18
UK: 2 participants - one youth leader/worker + 1 young person aged 15-18

Duration: 7 days / 8 nights: 11. - 19. May 2013 

Profile of participants:

From each country we would like to have one youth leader/youth worker/teacher together with one or two young people aged 15-18. Participants should have little experience in international youth work but should be actively looking for partners and have concrete desire to develop projects. Participants should be able to work in English.

Funding:
Project is funded by Youth in Action programme in the framework of training and cooperation plan (TCP). All project concerning accommodation, food and seminar costs are covered and participants will be reimbursed 70 % of travel costs.
